I give up. I can't decide what video camera to get. I have a maximum of ?700 to spend. What camera should I get? I'm kind of assuming it'll be DV. The panasonic NV DS150B
/ NV DS38 seem good, but so do a whole load of others. FYI i'll be using premiere for editing, plus i'll need DV in/out.
[Apologies I assume lots of others ask this sort of question, is there a camera FAQ anywhere?]
Thanks in advance..

I suggest a good 8mm video camera, or a Mini-Dv, Also, there is a good capture card called Dazzle, search for it on
http://officemax.com Search under DAZZLE: it is only 100.00, plus it comes with some sample editing software, so, thats my advice...take it or leave it, KUDOS TO ALL FILM MAKERS, c-ya

I can't recommend a camera, as I'm fairly anti-video... even with that being the case I strongly urge you to avoid the Dazzle capture cards, they might be fine if you were making a video Christmas card for Grandma, but for any real work, they're pretty much crap. Don't even bother with the included software either...
I'm not trying to start anything, but I've used these cards, and thats the basis for my opinions

Video IS a good thing, how else are we gonna know who robbed the Quik-Mart?

Just find a DV camera for 700 quid and buy it, the only thing I can suggest is make sure it's got loads of manual controls.
And don't what ever you do spend a single penny on a fucking 8mm video camera like wankmaster suggests.
